Granny’s Irish Soda Bread

Easy Irish Soda Bread done in a bundt pan to avoid the typical dryness of most Irish Soda Bread. Granny McDonnell did this and it’s so delicious!
Ingredients
- Stir Together:
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 8oz box raisins or more (I use 12 oz box)
- In blender or mixer, mix:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs and white of 3rd egg (save yolk)
Instructions
- Pour liquid mixture into dry mixture. Stir well. Spoon into a greased tube pan. Brush beaten egg yolk on top. Bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- (Variation: Mini Loaf Pans (8) – Bake 12-15 min at 350 degrees)
