Ingredients
  • 2-3 slices proscuitto
  • olive oil
  • 2 large cans crushed tomatoes
  • crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 cup good Parmesan/Reggiano grated cheese.
  • Vodka
  • heavy cream or fat free half and half
Instructions
  1. Chop 2-3 slices proscuitto and saute in small amount of olive oil right in your saucepan or pot.
  2. Add 2 large cans of curshed tomatoes to that. Shake in a little crushed red pepper and add about 1/2 cup good Parmesan/Reggiano grated cheese to the sauce mixture. Open your vodka and go around the pot 2-3 times and stir it all together. Simmer for awhile (30-45 min.) Can be made earlier in day up to this part and then add heavy cream step later. Then add either heavy cream or fat free half and half to the color of your liking . Continue to simmer. Serve over any pasta that holds sauce well.
