Ingredients
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1.5 cup sifted flour
- 15 blanched almonds, split
- Topping: 1 TB sugar mixed with 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar, yolks, milk, and flavoring. Beat until light. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill 3 hours!
- Roll dough very thin, cut with 3″ star cookie cutter. Placed on greased cookie sheet. Put a split almond on each. Brush with unbeaten egg whites. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar, 1/4 tsp cinnamon.
- Bake 375 degrees for 8 min.
